Another storm

This is a picture out my kitchen window. The snow has blown in past the screen. Those necklace looking things I can only guess are where the snow has attached to the cobwebs in the window.

This is out the windows in our seasonal room. That frost is on the inside of the windows.

I've had a really bad couple of weeks, really bad. However when my 2 oldest decided to dress up our cats, having me record it for posterity's sake....it cheered me up a little.

Our cats, Valentine, Baby and Fido? Not so much. (no cats were harmed in the process, unless you count their pride. in which case, it was brutal)

I've been having a rough couple of weeks, and taking pictures always makes me feel better. Finding beauty in things that have been forgotten. But, DUDE it was cold, my toes are still frozen!

Snow

Last night we got a lot of snow. It really is pretty when it falls, everything seems so peaceful...until 5am when the @*$#ing snowplows come!

I just wanted to say sorry to all on entrecard. I haven't been able to get on lately and I miss catching up on some of my favorites like New York Nitty-Gritty where I try to pick up tips on my photography, the many book sites like Puss Reboots and Thin Red Line and many others for thrifty ideas.
I suffer from migraines and have had one each day for the last 3 days.(sucks to be me) Also, at some point I have picked up something called ISpyNow that keeps popping up on my computer. From what I can tell, it allows someone else to see what sites I go to, what my passords are and any other information I may have on my computer. Needless to say, its a little unsettling and I'm trying like heck to get it off my computer.
If anyone has any info that could help, I would appreciate it. Other than that, I'm hoping to be back on my own comp soon.

Night Pictures

I tend to be a night owl. Since I really love taking pictures, I thought I would take a couple at night to see how they turned out. Here's a couple.

The road to success

Sometimes the road to success is muddy and your shoes get stuck in the muck and you pull your foot out of your shoe and you have to walk in the cold mud in your socks.

Harvest time

I was born in Traverse City, MI, big tourist town. I lived in North Carolina for a while and returned to Michigan. I never really realized how many farms there are.

Through entrecard I found a great blog that shared a site, Big Huge Labs. It does all sorts of cool things with your photos. It's extremely easy to use, especially if you have a Flickr account. Both are free to use. I used some of the photos I took for the online photo contest.

Burn out

I don't know why, but I feel like I just can't get ahead. Whether it's financial, my job, or simple getting things done at home...I just can't get anywhere. It's like any effort I make just burns my energy and I have nothing left but a bunch of ashes.

Depression

I have depression. I am not on meds for it. Sometimes I wish I was. I try to manage it, but I can feel when I'm slipping into it again. I see things and know they are pretty, fun , exciting...I just don't feel it. The whole world becomes muddied, black and white, just blah.

I'm letting myself get taken in by day to day life. I really need to stop... watch a sunset... rest my mind and soul.

Remembering

This is a picture of a woman who was walking around on stilts, a part of the vegetation that came alive. This was at Animal Kingdom Florida on our vacation last year. It was so nice to get away with the family...my oldest is done with college and my second oldest is in the 2nd year. Needless to say, not too many more vacations are left, where we will all be together. The dynamics will change, kids will move on...
I'm a little sad, but grateful we were able to make this one very special vacation a reality.
